چکیده

Thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) characteristics of Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone (PVP) electrets are studies in the temperature range 30 to 210 C as functions of the polarizing field (5 to 100kV/cm) and polarizing temperature (40 to 80C). The TSDC spectra comprise two maxima, namely, β and α with their respective locations around 90 C and 172.5 C. These are attributed to dipoleorientation and motion of space charge respectively. The space charge peak (α) is found to be more sensitive to the forming parameters than to that involving dipole. The observed dependence of the peak temperature parameter as well as the activation energy for various peaks on polarizing temperature is indicative of a continuous distribution of relaxations. Index Terms — Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone (PVP) electrets.

Amine Based CO2 Absorption in Membrane Contactor Using Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone-modified Polysulfone Flat Sheet Membrane: Experimental Study and Mass Transfer Resistance Analysis

Membrane contactor using amine based absorbents is an efficient technology for CO2 separation from gaseous mixtures. A novel porous polysulfone (PSF) flat membrane was prepared via non-solvent phase inversion method. The PSF membrane was modified by adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) to the dope solution. The fabricated membrane was used in the serpentine flow field contactor module for CO2 abs...

An improvement in physicochemical properties of carvedilol through spherically agglomerated solid dispersions with PVP K30.

Spherically agglomerated solid dispersions of carvedilol (CAR) were prepared with polyvinyl-pyrrolidone (PVP) using acetone, water and dichloromethane as solvent, non-solvent and bridging liquid, respectively. The prepared agglomerates were evaluated for its percentage yield, drug content, morphology, thermal behavior, micromeritic properties, aqueous solubility and in vitro drug release. Diffe...

Investigation on the role of the molecular weight of polyvinyl pyrrolidone in the shape control of high-yield silver nanospheres and nanowires

Serving as shape control agent, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) has been widely used in chemical synthesis of metal nanoparticles. However, the role of molecular weight (MW) of PVP has been rarely concerned. In this study, we show a facile method to control the shapes of silver nanocrystals using PVP with different MWs. PVPMW=8,000, PVPMW=29,000, PVPMW=40,000, and PVPMW=1,300,000 are compared in th...
